Standardized and in iiRDS: c-rex.net and gds optimize information delivery
As part of the partnership between c-rex.net and gds, we provide our Data Transformation Service (DTS) to convert data from a wide variety of formats and systems to iiRDS.
On the one hand, DTS can be used to transfer data from various sources to the easybrowse content delivery system from gds. On the other hand, new migration options from unstructured formats are available to potential customers of the gds editorial system XR.
The partnership with gds helps to establish our data services even more firmly in the market.

Markus Wiedenmaier, CEO at c-rex.net GmbH, and Jan Grüter, Product Manager Content Delivery at gds GmbH, are pleased about the cooperation. And are already working on the first joint projects.
iiRDS in focus
We have supported the Intelligent Information Request and Delivery Standard (iiRDS) for many years. We have developed our c-rex.net DTS and c.rex.net IDS data services around this format. Thanks to the cooperation with gds, we now automatically supply iiRDS to the gds system easybrowse in addition to our own content delivery portal IDS.
iiRDS is becoming increasingly popular in technical newsrooms, but is far from being supported across the board. Thanks to the newly concluded partnership, gds can now provide information from a wide variety of systems.

The data to be delivered with easybrowse from gds is first transferred to DTS. They are transformed and transferred to easybrowse as iiRDS.
In the further course of cooperation, we will use our system to automatically extract content and metadata from PDF files. This is how we make PDF files more accessible. Chapters can be recognized, enriched with metadata and accessed directly.
This is what our Data Transformation Service DTS does
Conversion from format A to B
With our Data Transformation Service DTS, we put data into the right form.
Word, FrameMaker, QuickSilver, PDF, Excel, Markdown are just some of the source formats that we convert to the desired format.
The DGHO uses our Data Transformation Service for the medical guideline portal 'onkopedia' and thus enables the authors the guidelines to use the editor of their choice.
Information extraction
DTS automatically extracts content and metadata from unstructured data and unearths the information treasures hidden in the document inventory of many organizations.
Structuring
We convert and migrate documents to DITA XML, DocBook or any custom XML variant up to CCMS or automated content delivery workflows.
For example, for the Schneider Electric Group, for which we carried out a major migration project.
Translation Management
We use our translation engine to automate the publication of information in different languages - with and without the use of Machine Translation (MT).
Read here how we implemented this for our customer Haufe.
